The revolution spreads to Libya

Tunisia, Egypt, Bahrain, Iran, and now the revolution is spreading to Libya.

LM is entirely happy to accept that I misjudged Colonel Gaddafi. A few years ago I wrote about what I felt was a significant improvement in Libya's economy and the welfare of its people following Gaddafi's replacement of another tyrant King Idris.

However, since that post Gaddafi has appeared to go seriously off the rails with a number of bizarre trips to Italy to try and establish yet another Harem which led me to calling him "eccentric" at the time.

My real disappointment with Libya under Gaddafi followed the disclosure that he had appointed B£iar as an adviser and that the two had a number of meetings.

As I say initially I was wrong although my subsequent posts I'd like to think have shown a gradual incremental change in position over the years which is why I support the Libyan people's desire for political reform and freedom.

  1. Gaddafi a strong supporter of Serbia during the Bosnian genocide and Kossovo wars. He is a big traitor. Simple.

  2. He probably believes in personal & perhaps myopic national self-interest, rather than Moonbat Yawn's mythical Eurabia.
