Eleven Muslims have been sentenced to death for setting fire to a train that shockingly killed dozens of Hindu Pilgrims which in turn led directly to the equally shocking murderous rampage by Hindu fanatics in Gujarat with 1000 Muslims being killed.
LM welcomes the judgement against the eleven Muslims but wonders how many Hindu fanatics have been sentenced to death for their role in the Gujarat massacre of Muslims. In addition, why has scumbag and Hindu Chief Minister Modi (pictured) been allowed to escape justice for his tacit role in encouraging the killing of Muslims.
Being an Indian let me tell you how the justice works in India. This is a verdict for the case of 2002 Godhra Incident but what about the older cases of Babri Masjid Demolition and the subsequent riots in Bombay and else where? The Srikrishna Commission report formed to check role of Shiv Sena and Bal Thakrey clearly indicts both of them but alas there is still no case against them in the court. Mr. L K Advani the architect of Rath Yatras during 1990s which killed hundreds of Muslims and finally demolished the Babri Masjid and Uma Bharati are dreaming today of becoming India's Prime Ministers.
ReplyDeleteNow about this case, the enquiry commission which was formed the Gujarat government itself to check the Godhra Train Incident, Justice Nanavati Commission said that the burning was a spontaneous act of the mob and there was no conspiracy theory involved in that however now courts do not agree to that.
Finally after so many sting operations by TV channels and open admissions by the killers there is not a single case which has found any one guilty in the subsequent riots.
And about Modi we have begun to confuse categories of politicians when we see corporate endorsement as a virtue in itself. As the years pass, Modi's election victories in Gujarat and biennial Vibrant Gujarat melas have been cited as evidence that should absolve him of culpability in mass murder. Hindu "Pilgrims" eh? These were pilgrims in the same sense that Nazis were German nationalists. The fanatical organization that they belonged to was responsible for the destruction of the Indian Muslim equivalent of St Paul' Cathedral - are these the actions of genuine pilgrims? They have been going up & down Indian causing countless anti-Muslim pogroms.
