Shanna Bukhari looks set to stir up a hornets nest uniting the entire spectrum from EDL types to some Muslims when she seeks to win the Miss Britain contest and represent GB in Miss Universe.

Although LM regularly tells the likes of Phillip Hollobone MP to get the hell out of Muslim women's wardrobes I'm afraid I'll make an exception for so called beauty pageants which are all about scantily dressed pretty women walking around in swimsuits titillating men.

ReplyDeleteYou tell our politicians that Muslim women who wear the vale are not oppressed by their male co-religionists and must be allowed to wear whatever they want.
...then a Muslim chooses to wear what she wants and her male co-religionists tell her its inappropriate and that (no doubt to follow) she is a whore who needs to be killed, stuffed in a suitcase and burried in the back garden.
You can't have it both ways
She can wear what she wants, that is up to her but when she says "I want other girls from Muslim communities to feel they can do this", then she must be confronted because she is portraying herself as a role model Muslim girls should look up to. Muslim women should not be displaying their bodies in swimsuits for men around the world to see.
ReplyDeleteI am also sick and tired of how so many Muslims in the public eye are at pains to prove their moderation by telling the world how many extremists have threatened them etc. This is just a pathetic tactic used in order to gain the support and sympathy of the British public

ReplyDeleteAll the EDL want is for muslims to respect British law and traditions. They just oppose Sharia Law.
If you want a Sharia state, there are plenty in the Middle East for you; and with the way things a going, the choice might soon be even greater.
