The report by Australia's Human Rights Commission appears to establish that Australian distrust of Muslims is on a par with discrimination towards Pagans and Homosexuals so its perhaps not surprising Australian Muslim women need a Human Rights Center.
Despite isolated and notable achievements like Ed Husic Australia's first Muslim MP, Yasmin Abedel Magied who wants to be Australia's first female F1 driver and Usman Khawaja being Australia's first Muslim cricketer the reality is even with John Howard no longer being PM, Australian opinion is increasingly turning hostile towards Muslims. Victorian Muslims have said they feel so threatened by racism they are forced to live in enclaves.
The irony of course is Australians are themselves immigrants but sadly for Muslim they are largely white English racist chavs so their behaviour is not surprising. The white flight from the UK has been Australia's real Achilles heel with buffoons who remain loyal to their German royal family and continue with their grotesque Alf Garnett view of the world.
The fundamental weakness of white racists particularly English Christian ones is their inability to recognise they share the world not with inferiors but with equals. Muslims have recognised this but not Christian racists. Having stolen Aboriginal land, abused, tortured, and humiliated them, then shunted them onto reservations why should Muslims believe these white racist scum will behave differently to any other minority that is not white or Christian. Australia's treatment of the boat people with detention centres for migrants including kids should be no surprise given that country's disgusting treatment towards non whites.
Whatever Chris Bowen the Immigration Minister says about the multicultural approach to skills shortages my advice to Australia's Muslims is be wary of English racist expats who thanks to TV programmes here in the UK are sadly for you relocating in increasing numbers. You can spot them in a number of ways they smell of Pubs, cigarettes, fast food, Council Estates and usually speak in an undecipherable northern dialect. In addition, when the sun comes out they have this unfortunate habit of taking their clothes off, usually track suits or football replica shirts bearing rather obese bodies.
Australian Muslims should treat the English racist chavs with the contempt we treat them here in the UK. First you can start by ensuring Australia goes Republic, replace the Union Jack in your flag with the Aboriginal flag (pictured) and kick out our German Queen Liz from your country. Muslims do not need to learn about English traditions of racism and colonialism, it is the English who need to divest themselves of old prejudice which even our PM David Cameron admitted has been the cause of so many problems in the world. However, despite being only currently 1.7% of Australia's population the great news according to demographics is the Muslim population is set to rapidly increase leading to a less white and less Christian Australia with currently some schools in Sydney approaching 90% non white. Whisper it quietly but the English will be leaving these shores only to find themselves in a country with possibly more Muslims.
With all non muslims hatred of muslims, wouldn't it be an idea to look at yourselves and think about why that is?

How about learning to be nice, and instead of vicous and nasty and death to all non muslims? Might be a start in your popularity stakes.
And if you don't like the countries you immigrate to and wish to take over, why don't you find a nice muslim country to live in. Somewhere like Iraq, Afganistan, Pakistan, or even Libya or Tunisia, and your favourite place Indonesia, I'm sure you'd love it there. After all you're making not the slightest dent in the countries you don't like are you? Even China is turning in their 100s of millions to Christianity, so not long before you will be totally outnumbered!

I thought this article was actually quite poignant. I'm a white Anglo-Saxon Australian, raised in a working class non-practising Church of England family. However, I am also a Muslim convert, having embraced Islam back in 2007.
ReplyDeleteAnd, I'll be the first to say, YES! Yes, we are indeed a terribly racist country. Where or how that started, I've got no idea. But its been the case for such a long time, way before the Cronalla riots ever occurred.
That said, I must point out that racism and religious intolerance in Australia is a two-way street. The majority of Muslims in Australia come from Lebanon and many of these people (by no means all) hold all non-Lebanese in absolute contempt. I'm not sure if LM has been to Australia; but masjids (we call them mosques) are nationally divided. So, there are Lebanese mosques, Malaysian mosques, Pakistani mosques, etc. Generally, you can pray in any mosque. However, you can't pray in a Lebanese mosque unless your Lebanese. I tried to do Jum'mah solat one Friday in a mosque once (not knowing it was a Lebanese mosque) and, after been spat on, was told to "F*%k off and pray somewhere else". The only exception to this is non-Arabs who agree to pledge their piety to Arab (esp. Lebanese) racial superiority.
So, yes, us Aussies are racists. But, were living with an extremely racist Muslim hate-group too. For me, rather than turning me away from Islam, this racism on both sides simply cause me to migrate away from Australia to Malaysia where, thankfully, Lebanese-influence in almost non-existent and our local Muslim nut-jobs (yes, we've got them here too), can still maintain a sense of humour and ethnic tolerance.
Who writes this rubbish? Certainly not a journalist. I live in Sydney and this article is not factual. It makes many ignorant assumptions. Australians are no more or less racist than any other nation. If you want to see racism, go to the middle east and ask the common man or woman in the street how they feel about the west. This article also has - ironically - a whiff of racism about it. If a certain band of Muslims wish to be treated with respect when living in other nations, i suggest they respect the practices and cultures of that nation and not deride or try and force archaic change. Or, you can stay exactly where you are. Respect is a two way street.

I am a Christian that happens to have been born in Australia from Anglo-Saxon DNA. This article is completely negative, in fact it in itself is the definition of racism, ignorance and propaganda. Everyone should be able to live anywhere on this planet peacefully, however the fact remains this is not possible unfortunately due to people such as the one who wrote this article. As long as we treat each other with respect & charity and the animals & plants in the same manner it doesn't matter what our personal belief systems are, if someone wants to do nothing for them selves or others...that is their choice. No matter what anyone thinks everyone has a choice to make through life & at the end of life each one of us will pay for our choices in the next life. I pray for the person whom wrote this article and any others who feel the same way on both sides of the argument that they may see positive understanding and wisdom in the negative view that they have regarding life. May the light of the Lord shine upon you :-)

You want peace. The answer is simple religion must be cured. Racism exists at the same, if not greater level in Islamic and other ethnic cultures. This is appalling. Western democracies are reaching the end as far as compromise and tolerance goes.

ReplyDeleteI will always give people a fair go. My mates origins and religious backgrounds are diverse. As an Australian I treat everyone equal, regardless of ethnic background or religion. My mates who are Muslim would say you are a racist too. My mates today that I grew up with in primary school from different countries around the world, with varying cultural and religious beliefs call themselves Australians too, as they should.
LM, could I suggest you both take up a few team sports or hobbies. This way you might get to meet a few people from different backgrounds to yours and realise that Australians etc are not bad people.
One thing is for sure, Australians give people a fair go. It is in our nature to treat people as our own. It is the Australian spirit that most countries respect and admire. They key is to integrate and to be tolerant of others. Respect is certainly a two way street in Australia - Love it or Leave it. We all have a choice.
