Today David Cameron is set to give a racist speech about immigration in order to remove the NHS from the front pages and naturally a pure coincidence that disastrous local elections are looming for the Tories.
Fresh from insulting Muslims appropriately in Munich our white male Eton Toff of a PM now wants us to believe that because some folk cannot speak English we have a problem with integration or his new phrase a disjointed Britain. Interesting that Cameron emulates Dutch Nazi Geert Wilders who also focuses on language in a country which uses a Dutch language test to try and kick out Muslims. One simply marvels at English racists who have the cheek to lecture others about the need to learn English, talk to a French person who has to put up with English second homes or the Spanish who regularly clean up vomit after the English have left their resorts to see English integration at work.
Here in London, visit large diverse areas like Brixton or where I live in Southall West London and you wont see a white person because of a concept called white flight. In other words when white English see a black face move next door they move out yet they have the audacity to talk about segregation.
The English need legislation to be nice to non white people and not treat us unfairly. In this country we have legislation that outlaws discrimination or the use of racist language because instinctively white racist English are none to welcoming of different cultures and races. The English are even disliked by the Irish, Scots, and Welsh within our own shores in this so called "United Kingdom" or is it "Great" Britain.
Wherever the English go as David Cameron for a change correctly highlighted they have caused problems yet they literally see the world in terms of black and white. The real issue for white English racists is the decline of the West as Niall Fergussen highlights in this presentation and why this current crop of English racists in our so called coalition are presiding over the biggest decline of economic and political influence in the country's history.
While the English glory in racist speeches, pathetic royal weddings, join marches against Mosques and spend time in their House of Worship ie the Pub the real future of the world is gradually taking shape without an Englishman in sight.

I must just check how many millions of white brits live in Pakistan, Indonesia, Iraq, Libya, Tunisia, or Africa, nah, only a few thousand, not in the millions you muslims feel it's ok to move to other countries.

Remember it was Cameron who a few days ago was talking about the low number of black kids at Oxford?
Cameron is right to say to foreigners not speaking English is an issue. It is an issue, people that don't speak the language cannot integrate socially and will always live at the edge of society.
Just because some English people do things abroad that are also bad doesn't mean that we should overlook the issues in our own country. The English who move to Spain and don't learn Spanish are morons.
You talk of racism and yet this actual article stinks of it. "The English"? What are "The English"? I'm a citizen of the UK, a European and more importantly a human being. Let's not start getting into cultural stereotypes, please.
Whilst I agree that 'white flight' is a problem, it is just stupid to argue that a wide spread inability to speak English within the immigrant population doesn't suggest a problem with integration.

ReplyDeleteMy family migrated to England to escape Nazi persecution - they never claimed a penny of benefits, never got a free house, never expected any handouts for nothing.
ReplyDeleteThey worked hard, learnt English within a year or two, and one of them even joined the British Army to fight against the ideology which forced them to flee almost penniless from mainland Europe.
After building up a successful business and integrating fully into Engilsh/British society, they were delighted to contribute to, and become a part of the country which had offered them tolerance, religious freedom and sanctuary. In essence - their very lives!
British people are made out of an amazing melting pot of Ancient Brits, Celts, Gaels, Anglo-Saxons, Jutes, Vikings, Romans, Normans . . . and all the other races and peoples who have come to these shores.
The key point, I suppose, being the melting pot. Integration (without loosing your identity) - living peacefully alongside your neighbours, learning to speak the language and being prepared to pay your taxes and contribute to society - non-threatening behaviour and certainly not teaching aggression, lack of respect, or blowing up underground trains and buses . . .
These are just a few of the things muslims might find useful if they wish to be welcomed into this broad-minded, multi-cultural and remarkable country, and treated with a lack of the suspicion, which sadly, they foster and create all by themselves!

They don't need to learn our language or adapt to our culture of customs or laws. I'd feel just awful if they had to do that.
