Muslim students elected to lead Westminster University Union

The London Evening Standard is frothing over two Muslim students who have been democratically elected to lead Westminster University Student Union.

LM finds the hypocrisy of our right wing press astonishing. While I confess I don't know the two brothers or their agenda's/manifesto's have you noticed how when Israelites get elected to lead the NUS from the days of Jack Straw through to Lorna Fitzimmons and now Aaron Porter nobody bats an eye lid. However, when Muslims get elected through a democratic process the usual slurs come out regarding "extremism" and "Islamist".

Moreover, the Standard really has gone to town with three journalists covering this story and a whose who of Muppet's readily available for a quote to complete the concocted story about a radical Muslim takeover of a London University student union.

  1. And here's some more democracy where the indigenous people are still in the majority

  2. Ah, I see now why the Standard are objecting, you haven't mentioned that they support radical and extremist islamic groups have you, they don't want democracy, they just want control. They want the british and democracy out, and you lot running the country, with as much blood shed as possible. What liars you all are.

"Arabic student Jamal Achchi, 26 - voted vice-president this month - has circulated documents published by Hizb ut Tahrir, a group that Prime Minister David Cameron said should be banned as it "seeks to poison young minds against our country". Mr Achchi used Scribd, a social networking site, to post Hizb ut Tahrir memos calling on Muslims to overthrow democracy and establish the Khilafah, a worldwide Islamic theocracy run by mullahs."

You would benefit from a little education in when to use- and not use- apostrophes.

  4. And how reliable are those sources, what is the evidence???? All I see is hypocrisy and fingers getting pointed about. There are no facts those above quotes where collected from The Evening Standards which in my opinion and many others, not a reliable sources for news. You do not know those two men, all you know is what you’re told. They were elected fairly, the student have elected them for a reason. Let it be.
