President Obama announced that Osama Bin Laden was killed in Pakistan by US Special Services.
Lets be clear Bin Laden was no friend of Muslims, just like the current crop of Arab tyrants who revel in killing their own people this man has not only been responsible for the slaughter of innocent US civilians but also many innocent Muslims.
Bin Laden initially worked with the CIA to remove the Russians from Afghanistan before appearing to commit one of the most horrific atrocities on civilians with the attack on the Twin Towers
What seems strange now that Americans have his dead body although reports indicate he was buried at sea which is not in accordance with Islamic customs, was that the operation happened in Abbotabad in a mansion next to Pakistan's equivalent of Sandhurst with the Pakistani authorities appearing to know nothing.

I'm curious to know what Muslims think about it. I am not Muslim and am no supporter of terrorism but I was very disturbed by the lack of context in reporting Bin Laden's activities. The point is the US was causing harm all over the world and it received blowback for its callous killing of innocents, particularly by proxy in Israel/Palestine. I don't view Bin Laden as a hero but many did. Here in North America we just hear about the celebrations (abhorrent to celebrate anyone's death), but I fear there are many who are angry about this.

So many muslims have said that he and those like him were apostates and not really muslim, why would they want him buried as a muslim? The Pakistani military has lost far more soldiers fighting against AQ than any other nation, not forgeting the civilian victims.
This doesn't add up. You don't kill the leader of the most wanted terrorist group in the world. You capture him. The wealth of information he could provide in the ongoing fight against al-Qaeda is immeasurable. And you don't 'dispose' of his body without detailed autopsy. This doesn't add up. Show me video/photos of his body or there is a good chance that it didn't happen. Maybe they are just trying to tease him out.
