An Arab Muslim waiter working in New York's Waldorf Hotel was forced to change his name by employers from Mohamed to Edgar so the guests were not scared.
How anyone cannot be scared by the name Edgar is beyond me along with other frightening Judeo-Christian names likes Benjamin, George or even worse Tony.
What's ironic is the hotel guests are probably rich fat Gulf Arab monarchies who having pilfered the resources of their countries are engaged in yet another spending spree along Fifth Avenue with their Harems.

ReplyDeleteI think the following compromise is in order : he changes his name to Edgar in exchange for calling his white boss "sh1t."
ReplyDeleteFunny thing is - no one called Edgar ever hijacked a plane and flew it into the World Trade Centre.
