Given the anarchy and criminality currently engulfing London, LM supports the call from anti fascist activists to ban a proposed march by the Nazi EDL in Tower Hamlets on September 3.
Surely it goes without saying that after Norway and now after the London Riots the last thing we need is more criminal thugs being given a free licence to provoke a huge Muslim community to take the bait and respond to vile nasty racists.
The EDL have long targeted large densely populated Muslim areas and have been smarting ever since they were run out of town in Harrow. As a result and presumably following advice from their paymasters in Israel they have been advised foolishly to try and engage a large Muslim community during Ramadhan in the hope that this might provide their only opportunity to take on a weakend Muslim population. How wrong they are because as any student of Islamic history will tell you some of the greatest battles Muslims have fought have been during Ramadan most notably the Battle of Badr.
LM therefore urges our racist PM and his Govt now that they have all cut short their holidays to do the right thing for a change and ban the EDL from Tower Hamlets. Sadly should we continue to see the passive encouragement and support of the EDL by the Police and Tory Politicians then we may end up seeing disturbances in Tower Hamlets that make the current riots appear like a picnic or walk in the park while the blame will lie squarely with Politicians and of the course the Nasty Nazi EDL.
