Libya's Revolution topples Gaddafi

Fantastic news that Libya's revolution with the help of NATO has toppled the tyrant Gaddaffi and his sons.

Naturally when the Arab Spring started in Tunisia who would have thought that it would spread to Egypt, Syria and Libya amongst others. In the abscence of Muslim intervention to prevent Gaddaffi murderous thugs going on a killing spree in Benghanzi LM supported the military intervention to support the rebels although of course I accept the hypocrisy and double standards George Galloway mentions are involved due to Libyan oil.

However with his mate Gaddafi gone perhaps one of the first things the new interim council can do is ask B£iar to sod off as a statement of intent and independence from Israelite influence.

  1. firstly why is it great news, do you like seeing your fellow brothers and sisters being tortured by westerners?

secondly look at the crowds they are no more than 100 strong, yet the people for gadaffi are thousands strong, your just a victim of western bias media, would have thought you had a bit more sense, then again being from southall saying innit all the time should really not have expected much from you..

you wanna know whats really going on in libya? chk out whatreallyhappened.com and you'll see a different picture, rather than peddling mainstream media propoganda!

  2. 1. LM,please tell me that you don't believe a word that the poor deluded loon Galloway says.
    2. Anonymous, it's good news because Gaddafi is a barking mad tyrant who has terrorised his people for 40 years and is responsible for the deaths of countless innocent people (or is that all mainstream media propoganda? I'd like to see you suggest as much to the people of Lockerbie, the families of those killed on the Pan-Am flight, etc etc....)

  3. Careful now. You almost said something in support of British policy.

  4. Why shouldn't I say something in support of British policy? I am, after all, British and enjoy the (relative) freedoms and opportunities afforded my family by a Western democracy. Unlike many, my immediate knee-jerk reaction to any government intervention is therefore not to search for the pro-Zionist, anti-Palestinian, anti-Muslim "hidden agenda".

  5. Not very fantastic in fact. The West and NATO have helped "the rebels" to overthrow Gaddafi and overrun Libya. This is very concerning as the West has no right to force regime change and democracy upon another country. The harsh reality we are now left with is that there is widespread death, destruction and instability as a result of aggressive NATO bombings and war in Libya which constitutes 'war crimes'. It is unfathomable that an illegal group, "the rebels", are about to take formal control of Libya and have been recognised by the West as the legitimate government whom are to receive significant funds in the millions and billions.

  6. I read your well written article,Musulman. It's certainly a different perspective. Do you have experience of living under Gaddafi by any chance? Do you have experience of living under any totalitarian regime where the slightest murmur of dissent or criticism can end in a torture cell? Surely your argument (in your blog) about efficient health and education services is akin to those who jokingly used to say about Hitler and Mussolini that at least they made the trains run on time...

  7. Spinoza, it's merely a perspective you wont see on BBC or CNN, but you will see it elsewhere. Yes before relocating to more comfy surroundings I grew up in what remains effectively a warzone. Not Gaddafi's regime but not much different really. What I know of my country and also Libya is that these leaders are both good and bad, but Western intervention/dependancy does not help the people in the long-term, particularly when it is at the cost of national interests and natural resources. As with what we've seen in Iraq and Afghanistan, the reality is that Libya is now much worse and more unstable following the "humanitarian" acts of NATO and the West.

On a side note, Obama, Cameron and Sarkozy are supporting/carrying out these heinous acts in Libya while cant even provide efficiant healthcare or reliable transport systems at home, so are they worse than Hitler and Mussolini?
