I wish to extend my deepest condolences to Tariq Jahan and his family, and to the families of those who where killed. I am saddened by the loss of these young men. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
I have just listened to Tariq Jahan's interview about the extremely sad death of his son, Haroon and his two friends, Shazad and Musaver. What an impressive and dignified response to such a terrible event. Your son and his two friends look like very kind and generous people, full of life and energy. I wish to express my sincerest condolences to Tariq Jahan and his family.
I may not be a Muslin, but it's monents like these that remind the world that everyone is the son or daughter of a loving parent regardles of race, economic status, or religious beliefs.
I only heard about the tragic and un-needed slaying of Tariq's son.
As a father myself, I can only imagine the grief, frustration and anger that Tariq must feel over Haroon passing away in his arms.
From the bottom of my heart, I would like to give my deepest condolences to Tariq and all of his famile and friends of Haroon.
Deepest condolences to Mr Jahan and his family. He is a fine man. What a wonderful example to all he is, whatever race or religion. Tariq must have been a fine young man, with a Father like this. How very, very sad. He said that people will forget the deaths of these 3 young men. I, for one, will not forget.
I just read this news story this morning - as a front page news article here in Australia - and it broke my heart. My thoughts are with Tariq Jahan and his family and also the families of the others who were so tragically killed.
Sincere condolences to Tariq Jahan and the other victims families. There was a speech he made I believe later than this where he tries to unite and not divide, so honorable in such difficult circumstances. Peace to all races and religions. Best wishes Tariq, you are a great man and your son would be proud.
My wife and I are English expats in Italy. We have both been moved by the dignity shown by Tariq Jahan and wish to extend our deepest sympathy to the families of the murdered victims. We are not religious but join in common cause to express our shared humanity with our neighbours. May your religion bring you and your loved ones peace.
This fine human being transcends all thoughts of race, creed or religion. At a time of unimaginable sorrow, he stands in front of us proud and strong, and speaks with quiet dignity, the sense and the logic we should understand, believe in and be prepared to stand for too. As fine an englishman as I have ever heard, sir, I send you the love of my family in the hope that it might provide a little comfort at this tragic time.
we normally pray for sabr-e-jameel (highest degree of patience) for the relatives of the deceased..but this man already has it in tons!!! a true representative of his faith :)
.i am not familiar with the medal system of UK...but this amazing guy, who played his part in establishing peace during riots, who showed restraint & preached tolerance even after losing a son, deserves to be knighted...(or any other medal of appreciation from the queen)
We know this man personally and his character never fails to light... in a desperate incident like this he has only turned it into a positive -only uncle TJ is capable of that! The man is a ledgend - his son was one too! May Harry, Muzzy and Shezad be granted the 7th Heaven and may we join them one day! Ameen. ♥
i knew all 3 guys, they were such lovely people. i write hear with tears flowing down my face. may allah grant them the highest heaven inshallah. As a father myself, Tariq Jahan is a ispiration to me.
What a shining example Mr Janhan is to the whole nation. He managed with simple, heartfelt words to get his message across. His words had a deep impact on me and many others. I wish to send this heroic gentleman and his family my sympathy for their terrible loss - I hope their faith helps them through it.
My deepest condolences to you and your family and friends on the loss of your son Haroon and his two friends. As a father I can only imagine the heartbreak you must feel but your quiet words and brave deameanour are an inspiration to me but should inspire us all, regardless of race or religion. If only all fathers were like you sir these riots would not have occurred.
I am very sad about your loss and your speech was incredibly moving to think about others when your world has been turned upside down is truely courageous and inspiring. I am sure that your wise words prevented a lot of further hostilities and you make me proud to be british again
Your words touched the hearts of a million strangers. If you sense an invisible touch, it will be the arms of a million strangers holding you and your family as you cry. When I lost a loved one, the following words gave me a moments comfort.I hope that they give you the same. "They that love beyond the world can not be separated by it. Death cannot kill what never dies , nor can spirits ever be divided , that love and live in the same Divine principle,....the root and record of their friendship. death is but crossing the world, as friends do the seas.....they live in one another still.."
I wish I could put into words how very sorry I am for your loss and for the families of others who suffered in the riot. I commend you on your speeches. You sound like a very kind and brave man and I know the words touched so many people of all colors and races. I only wish more people thought like you. You have my deepest sympathy and I'd be very proud to call you a friend, neighbor or relative. Kind regards An American living in the UK
Like most people of all faiths in this country, I was deeply saddened by the events of the last week. I was nearly reduced to tears upon hearing the death of these 3 young men in such a needless way. Tariq Jahan has been a beacon of humanity. This poor man has lost his beloved son, and has acted with incredible digniny. I wish the families and friends of these 3 young men all my very best, and shall be praying for them.
Firstly may i give my sincere condolences to you and all your family, I am not of the Islam faith, but i do believe God (or any other name we may give him) smiles on all faiths. You have been a beacon for racial and religious harmony and i truely believe you may have reversed the bigotry (on each side of the divide) which has been prominent since 9/11, we are all human and all love Allah, God, and lots of other respectfull titles. Please let us all live in peace together. I am so sorry for your loss and in admiration of your dignity and humility. Truly hope justice is done to those responsibly for the mindless ending of three young lives.
well, Mr Jahan seems to have been right when he said everybody would forget about this in a couple days.. just wanted to say I watched everything very closely, here in Bosnia, and I can say that we in Bosnia have been STUNNED and HUMBLED by what we've seen.. I remember you in my prayers, Mr. Jahan, and you are truly a role model.. may Allah swt reward your son and the other two kids with forgiveness and Jannah.. I admire you Tarek Jahan.. may Allah give wisdom and strength and dignity and tawakkul like those you've demonstrated, to more Muslims everywhere.. Ameen.. God bless you Tarek Jahan.. my heart goes out to Mrs Jahan as well.. only saw her once on tv, and she was crying.. made my cry too..may Allah ease her burden on her..
R.I.P. WHO KNEW THAT THEY WERE GOING TO DIE ALTOGETHER ON THAT NIGHT 2 BROTHERS AND A FRIEND AND IN THE MONTH OF RAMADHAN HOPE THEY FAMILY GET SABR AND THEY WILL NEVER FORGET THE WAY THEY DIED
London Muslim with a left of center political agenda but dont let that put you off.
I write about issues the mainstream Murdoch agenda ignores and more than happy to also take on the tiny minority of vociferous fruitcakes in my own community.
In addition I'm a long suffering supporter of QPR. So, a Muslim with a sense of humour
He's in shock still :0( He can't really believe it.
