Saudi King stops woman from being lashed for driving a car

Bookmark this page because you wont hear me saying this often so here goes congratulations to Saudi King Abdullah for revoking the outrageous court decision to lash a woman 10 times for simply driving a car.

Princess Ameerah Al Taweel married to the billionaire Prince Al Waleed who recently appeared on CNN Piers Morgan's show championing women's rights in Saudi tweeted the news that the King stopped the Court Order from being implemented.

The shocking sentence was the first time such an order was taken in relation to female driving and appears to possibly have been a Wahabi male backlash against the recent cautious although positive most definitely welcome decision to allow Saudi Women the Vote in 2015.

LM as I say welcomes the recent positive steps but they are tiny moves and in my opinion simply a reaction to the Arab Spring where Muslims across the Middle East are demanding democracy and Freedom.

Why are the House of Saud turning Mecca into Las Vegas?

My regular readers will know that I'm no fan of the debauched, corrupt sinners in the House of Saud.

The latest outrage by the Sauds concerns the appalling manner in which they have ignored the sensitivity and sanctity of Mecca by turning it into what locals have called Las Vegas.

LM recalls a conversation with a senior Muslim broadcaster who would explain to me in detail after numerous trips to Mecca how for example the birthplace ie the House of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) had been turned into a laundry. Initially my reaction was fairly sanguine because I thought the bigger picture was the need to worship Islam rather than anyone or anything else so when huge clocks were built I was fairly supportive. We Muslims follow the Quran, and Sunnah and I don't doubt that if prominent historical buildings were made publicly known the usual third world thickos would be worshipping outside Houses and paying homage to old buildings rather than praying towards the Kaaba.

However, the increasing manner in which the history, archaeology and culture of old Mecca is being destroyed by the corrupt sinners in the House of Saud requires in my opinion a significant Muslim reaction against Wahabi vandalism. Vain grand projects building skyscrapers and five star hotels while synonymous with The Saud approach is destroying the history of Islam although their is a hadith in Sahih Bukari in which Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) stated one of the signs of the last hour is "when the destitute camel herds compete in building tall structures"

Surely the term Custodians of the Holy Mosques should mean something practically by preserving and maintaining rather than destroying.

Indian Call Centre's

LM is fed up of Indian Call Centres and am not surprised their growth is stalling because they provide a useless crap service cannot speak English and never fail to lie their way out of a challenging or difficult call.

I'm often convinced that not only are they always crap hiding their Indian names with English ones but somehow reckon when they realise they have a Muslim on the line they usually attempt to provide an even worse service if at all possible.

LM now simply puts the phone down whenever I get through to an Indian Call Center and urges British companies to please start the process or returning to British Call Centre's whose major strength is at least they can talk English and do attempt to provide a modicum of customer service.

France and the Niqab

With news that the French are now issuing fines to Muslim women who wear the Niqab as well as the astonishing decision to ban Muslims praying LM could not help feeling frustrated at Kenza Drider a French Muslim Niqab wearer who has decided to launch a Presidential bid.

My frustration at Drider's ridiculous publicity stunt is yet again a Muslim who previously had no political engagement is belatedly and only after an attack on her religious/cultural requirements beginning to acknowledge the importance of politics as a means for democratically implementing change. Prior to the Niqab ban I'm convinced she was one of the millions of Muslims who parrot the pathetic no politics line until of course the Political class launches a full scale assault on Islam.

Similarly in the UK, LM has made my view clear about the pathetic Muslim students who vacate the political debate over Student Fees only to react when its too late as they realise the tuition fees introduced contain interest which is forbidden in Islam.

With 5 Million French Muslims and Islam the second largest religion in France the political influence is non existent allowing one man Sarkohzy a  free reign to introduce draconian Fascist legislation. 1 Million Brits marched against the Iraq War yet it took 1 political man to take the country to war despite 2 Million British Muslims.

British Muslims and French Muslims should realise rather than being the millions on the street marching and failing to stop Wars or failing to stop the banning or Niqab why not be the one political individual like B£iar or Sarkozy that politically and democratically can prevent such gratuitous attacks against Islam and Muslims.

Islamic Medicine on the rise

LM regularly reminds my readers I'm no scholar as if you needed any reminding however, I'm also no Scientist or Doctor so I find myself intrigued with news that so called "Islamic medicine" is on the rise in SE Asia.

Take a look at this video to see the huge role Muslim scholars played in the development and heritage of medicine so systematically omitted from western medical books. Numerous medical discoveries and vaccinations were a result of Muslims as this excellent article highlights. As a result its interesting to note a growing number of Muslims beginning to reject western medication with its toxic use of chemicals and ingredients derived from Pigs for a more natural and perhaps homeopathic approach previously often associated with quacks like Prince Charles.

While sceptical about all that exorcism jazz although the Sister in the Picture seems to be enjoying it herbal medicine within an Islamic context certainly seems well worth a closer look and appears to be huge business in countries like Indonesia and Malaysia who combine both the best of Islam with recent western evidence based medicine.

Why are Zee TV sponsoring Eid in Trafalgar Square?

Today in sunny London, Zee TV have been allowed by Boris Johnson to sponsor the Eid Festival in Trafalgar Sqaure.

Can you imagine the reaction if Islam Channel were sponsoring the Jewish New Year celebrations in Trafalgar Square however, many are unaware that Boris Johnson personally decided to reject Islam Channel sponsoring today's Eid Festival. As a result, we have a Bollywood outfit promoting all manner of Music and dance rather than the excellent Islam Channel who have a well established pedigree of promoting superb Muslim events like the GPU.

LM will not be attending today's Eid Festival as I'm at the Peace Conference in Wembley but also because unlike some I'm aware of the political games Boris Johnson along with his Bollywood mates are playing against London Muslims shamefully in association with an "Eid Committee". Yet again, one further reason if it is needed why the entire London Muslim community needs to be mobilising now behind Ken Livingstone's campaign to defeat Boris Johnson and remove the current buffon from being London's Mayor.

An interesting research report by Cardiff University has detailed the increasing work of Muslim Chaplains.

LM's immediate reaction when reading a positive story was this must surely be some form of wide up concerning Muslim Charlie Chaplins however, the report appears to establish the important Role Models Muslim Chaplains have become in public organisations like Prisons.

The need to continue to highlight, for example, the importance of dealing with vulnerable individuals particularly Muslim youth who have, for whatever reason gone astray and ended up in Youth Offender Institutions is vital and LM offers a Hijab Tip that salutes the valuable work of Muslim Chaplains.

Al Jazeera boss Wadah Khanfar quits

The Director General of Al Jazeera Wadah Khanfar has resigned from his post to be replaced by a Qatari royal.

Al Jazeera have been and continue to be outstanding in their ground breaking coverage of the Middle East as well as the recent Arab Spring which must have been a political minefield for Khanfar (a Palestinian) to manoeuvre in view of Qatar's ownership of the Channel. The Channel has upset a lot of people most notably Arab dictators and the Israelites controlling the USA which is evidence of its superb balanced narrative in a media landscape of Murdoch's Sly News. They have appeared slightly cautious over recent events in for example Bahrain which appears to indicate political interference from the Qatari royal family.

LM hopes the new DG continues to maintain the channels impartiality which has provided the current excellent reputation although I fear Khanfar's removal and replacement with a Qatari royal is a dangerous and potentially retrograde step in terms of editorial independence.

Outrage over Saudi Pole Dancer

Not surprisingly a British fitness instructor has sparked outrage after teaching a Saudi Mum the "art" of Pole dancing while in an Abaya.

The Saudi mum named Qahatani  whose husband appears to be very well connected to the House of Saud which explains how the Pole Dancer along with her poles managed to evade strict immigration laws and obtained a fast track entrance to Saudi.

LM thinks these pictures are very disrespectful but publishes them nevertheless largely because I believe them to be a perfect illustration of what Munafiqs the House of Saud are.

Muslim Students angry at Student Loans that charge interest

Muslim students make me laugh which is fortunate because if LM thought long and hard about them I'd probably cry.

Apparently UK Muslim students have finally woken up and recognised that Student loans containing interest are not an option for a practising Muslim who understands the mere basics about Islam and the prohibition on interest. Not to worry though because according to the BBC report a few Pakistani fuitcakes up in Bradistan have put aside the day job as mini cab drivers called themselves "scholars" and are working out how to change the Quran and allow Muslim students to accept loans with interest.

Where on earth were all these comedians when the entire student population was in London demonstrating or when the NUS were targeting Lib Dem MPs. As I've said before Muslim students along with the politically brain dead Mosques despite their massive numbers engaged in virtually no student activism or demonstration or political campaign of note so as far as I'm concerned you deserve no sympathy from Muslim or Non Muslim.

While Muslim students sat on their arses growing their beards and threading their eyebrows the rest of the student population were out fighting the injustice of student loans. Now finally and belatedly you kick off about Islam and Student Loans after doing nothing of note and you have the cheek to ask for sympathy by highlighting the injustice of legislation that in part was designed to ensure Muslim students could not access higher education.

While you stay at home with mum and wait for her to wipe your nappies and cook you food don't worry I'm sure unlike you politically active Israelites like Michael Gove the Education Secretary will be laughing all the way to the ballot box about the incompetence and stupidity of Muslim students.

There is considerable excitement amongst LM's lefty friends that finally the Labour Party have come out of the closet in support of Palestinian statehood and recognition at the UN.

LM's immediate reaction is calm down Dears. I'm often surprised at how some look upon Politics and political engagement as somewhat akin to a cult activity rather than my approach which is a means to an end. Labour as far as I'm concerned have under B£iar engaged in one of the biggest assassination jobs on a section of the community ie we Muslims than perhaps anyone else.

While our forefathers toiled in the factories and sweatshops, joined the Trade Union movement, payed our subs and loyally for a generation voted in Labour MPs the moment New Labour obtained power they turned on us, destroyed our Civil Liberties and killed Muslims in their thousands around the world.

As a result, unlike others I don't get excited by Press Releases from political parties in opposition, the proof of the pudding is in the eating, in other words what policies do you implement when in power sitting in the cloistered plush Foreign and Commonwealth Office. An indication of how desperately hostile Labour has been towards Muslim causes is the warm reaction to Jack Straw's belated support of Palestine. The Strawman represents the politically brain dead Pakistani urchins of Blackburn and all his life particularly when Foreign Secretary did his best for the Israelites while abusing his Pakistani constituents as sex abusers.

With Bicom, Israel's PR machine headed by former Labour MP Lorna Fitzsimmons changing the narrative of news coverage through intense lobbying of fellow Israelites in the media like sending the BBC's Sophie Long on a "bespoke delegation" to the motherland, a letter from Jack Straw or David Milliband who I wrote about previously here, here and here is a very small step in the direction of regaining Muslim trust.

The BBC's Jennifer Pak attacks Malaysia over "strict Islam"

The BBC have a very bizarre article by Canadian educated Jennifer Pak who talks of a "strict Islam" exposing tensions in Malaysia.

Reading the article the only "tension" I could detect is Pak's obsession with Muslim women wearing the hijab which is indicative more of her bias as a women who does not wear a hijab rather than the peculiar concept of a "strict Islam".

Simply because Malaysian Muslim women like Wardina Safiyyah or Nural Izzah Anwar wish to dress like Muslims and cover their beauty it should not provide an excuse for western educated BBC journalists to attempt to stigmatise our faith or our women by stoking imagined fears about oppressed women whose dress code is a "cause for concern".

Archbishop says Catholics can learn a lot from Islam

The Archbishop of Westminster Vincent Nichols said the Catholics can learn a lot from Islam specifically the act of fasting which was recently observed during Ramadan.

In a wide raging interview with the Independent's Jerome Taylor Nichols comments on Islam and Muslims will grab the headlines to the annoyance of his press advisers. However, given the growing secular push and attack on faith its about time we had some honest plain speaking from our religious "leaders".

The hypocrites at the Daily Mail have written a ridiculous article attempting to stoke fear about segregation now that the first Muslim Free School has been given the go ahead in Blackburn.

I don't recall the same fear from the Mail over Christian or Jewish faith schools or Free Schools for that matter. As my regular readers will know LM opposes all faith schools but with a heavy heart is broadly supportive of Free Schools because as I've already explained in detail the admission criteria states 50% of pupils must be admitted "without reference to faith".

Perhaps the Daily Mail who clearly under Dacre take exception to anything with the word Muslim or Islam in it should take a faith lesson from the Archbishop of Westminster who correctly says Catholics can learn a lot from Islam

Report finds Europe's school books about Islam and Muslims are racist

A five country report which includes Britain has concluded that European school books present a distorted stereotypical image about Muslims and Islam and ultimately are racist.

The detailed report which talks about cultural racism and the constant portrayal of an "antiquated Islam" comes as no surprise to LM who believes many Europeans are inculcated with their image of Islam while drinking their Mothers milk. The image is then confirmed by the Education system, political system and of course the media be it broadcast and non broadcast along with the likes of Holywood and Steven Spielberg depicting Arabs as aggressive in for example Raiders of the Lost Ark.

This is the sort of video and content that should be compulsory in all Europe's schools however, with most Europeans also forming their impression of Islam after watching El Cid and vile Israelite Michael Gove running the Education portfolio in the UK sadly this report may end up gathering dust rather than its excellent recommendations being implemented in full.

France are now banning Muslims from praying on the streets

The French have now taken their extreme form of secularism to dangerous Nazi levels by banning praying on the streets and of course we don't need to eat snails to realise which community they are attacking again.

First they target the Niqab now the act of praying, no wonder the likes of Chelsea's Nicholas Anelka has condemned French racism in an increasingly and deeply racist society whose hypocritical politicians seem to take quite a fancy to Muslim women

Lets not be surprised that this extremism comes from a society in a deep malaise with economic, political and cultural decline combining to once again resurrect the Vichy collaborators and Le Pen sympathisers. France you are a pathetic backwater of Europe whose grand colonial past and history are now simply old buildings in Paris and Versailles.

My advice to Muslims is respond robustly and vigorously by banning the French language from our countries and in particular our schools. In London I am engaged in a campaign to remove French from London schools and replace it with other languages like Arabic or Mandarin so I urge Muslim parents and Governors to increase the pressure on Headmasters to remove French particularly in schools with large Muslim student populations. Why should our kids be forced to learn a gutter language from a country who restrict the building of Mosques, force us to pray on the streets then ban the very act they have compelled us to perform.

Baroness Flather says Bangladeshi and Pakistani families have children for benefits

Baroness Flather has claimed that Bangladeshi and Pakistani families are having too many children in order to claim more in benefits.

What's even more ridiculous and unacceptable about this abhorrent outburst which lacks any statistical evidence is that she draws a distinction claiming Indian families "like the Jews of old" have a different approach than Bangladeshi and Pakistanis because "they want their children educated". Having offended Bangladesh's and Pakistanis she also perhaps unwittingly takes a swing at Jews by implying only a previous generation of Jews wanted their children educated with is evidently and patently absurd.

How on earth can this buffoon get away with the astonishing claim that "there is no emphasis on education in the Pakistani and Bangladeshi communities in the UK". When Flather talks about political incorrectness perhaps LM can enlighten her. What is also politically incorrect is to mention a fat old ugly unelected Tory hag who marries a white bloke lives in posh Windsor and sucks up literally to a white extremist racist narrative, in other words an Asian coconut ironically born in what is now Pakistan attacking her own while pleasing the Daily Mail and EDL.

Keith Vaz who was found by a Commons inquiry to be a liar has invited the IRA supporting Congressman Peter King to bizarrely testify before Parliament on the "roots of violent radicalisation"

LM cannot think of a better example about how we as a society have been hijacked by a political class of liars and crooks that turn on the very people responsible for electing them. Not only is Vaz a liar according to Parliament who ripped off the taxpayer over his expenses he was suspended from the Commons for trying to smear a retired Policewoman. How does the Political Establishment deal with a lying, cheating, vindictive politician who has tried to interfere with High Court justice on behalf of a crooked friend, naturally they reward him with a position as Chair of the Home Affairs House of Commons Select Committee which ironically investigates criminality.

In his position as Chair of the Home Affairs Committee Vaz has invited an equally repugnant character IRA supporting Peter King to talk about violence, the very man who said of IRA violence "if civilians are killed in an attack on a military installation I will not blame the IRA".

Vaz who showed his true colours towards Muslims by disgracefully supporting the disgusting 42 days Terror Bill after what many claim was in return for a Political honour, is the typical Brown Sahib that puts a suit and tie on then attempts to be more white and English than the English themselves. What a contemptuous little creature Vaz is and why is it LM's not surprised that he invites a Muslim hater from the USA rather than someone like Senator Dick Durbin who has also held hearings in the USA but on Muslim Civil Rights.

Looks like the EDL got beaten up again this time in London's Edgware Road with conflicting reports about two of their Nazi vermin being stabbed outside a Pub.

While it goes without saying that stabbings etc are utterly unacceptable even when defending your community from racist chavs let me issue a stark warning to My Muslim brothers particularly in London beware of a notorious "despotic" Judge Dennis at Iselworth Crown Court. Sadly for we Muslims when it comes to justice you will not get it from depots masquerading as Judges so do not throw your life away by rotting in a dungeon simply because of a moments madness confronting the EDL.

These racist cretins from the EDL want Muslims to take the bait by engaging in criminality because unlike you they have no future and nothing to loose. We Muslims have a beautiful faith and the love of our families while all the EDL have after they have signed on is the Pub. LM is from Southall in Ealing and our history was about standing up to the National Front in the 70s which while before my time is a story any Muslim or Sikh elder will tell you about. The Black community and the Irish community have also faced racism and if you go back further so have the Jews which makes the Jewish members of the EDL even more repugnant and unacceptable.

My point, yes defend your community just like we did during the riots but lets do this within the law by using our intelligence not to be drawn into an area of criminal and legal minefields where the EDL want us. The vermin now realise they cannot defeat us on the streets of London so they are tactically engaged in a hit and run exercise of localised skirmishes with requisite numbers of TV cameras hoping they convey an impression of White folk getting a hiding.

Although difficult on occasions please remember the words of Tariq Jahan here and here who called for Muslim calm after watching his son die in his arms. The EDL have peaked and are finished and while there will be the occasional sting in the EDL tail lets get on with life staying clam, dignified and respectful qualities our faith teaches us when confronting creatures whose hearts are closed.

Desmond Tutu says 9/11 anger stigmatised all Muslims

A lot has been said about 9/11 and understandably so however, from a Muslim perspective I thought some of the comments by Desmond Tutu about the 9/11 anger stigmatising all Muslims seems to perfectly sum up how a significant number of Muslims feel.

Nobel Peace Prize winner Tutu is no longer a player on the right wing mainstream media circuit for pointing out the tyranny by Israelites towards Palestinians which has increasingly led the likes of Murdoch's media empire to impose a discreet media blackout. On one occasion Tutu compared Israel's behaviour to Apartheid in South Africa and Gaza to the Soweto township which while entirely accurate is a no no amongst the Israelite class controlling our media and political establishment.

Returning to 9/11, I suppose while it goes without saying the atrocity that was perpetrated on America should be condemned when one starts to explain the context of what happened our enemies immediately jump to the absurd conclusion that an explanation automatically implies a justification.

My surprise is that for some reason the reaction amongst our UK media almost appears to be so hysterical to the extent one feels the mourning is even greater here than in the US or over 7/7 which got me thinking. Why is it that the reaction amongst our media is so extreme and its not just a matter of the wall to wall coverage over the weekend for an atrocity that occurred a decade ago or that royalty and Cameron get wheeled out.

When the worlds biggest State Terrorist Israel, funded and supported by the USA launched their so called Operation Cast Lead the murderous massacre of Palestinians in Gaza or its invasion and occupation of Lebanon so aptly described by George Galloway which killed countless Christian and Muslim Lebanese I don't recall memorials in London or New York yet you ask me to unreservedly mourn for the tragic loss of innocent life in America as though it is more important than for example the loss of innocent Iraqi or Afghani life.

LM mourns for all innocent loss of life but unlike the Israelites, Neo Cons and fellow travellers I'm not selective in attempting to instill a collective amnesia that the loss of American life or blood is more important or valuable than non American life. While the families of 9/11 victims suffered an immediate loss, ultimately we Muslims in the West are paying the price of a concerted and well funded hate campaign that has led to increased suspicion, loss of liberty and seeing our faith denigrated in large part by Israelites.

As the Israeli inspired EDL get another intended violent response from Muslims on Edgware Road leading to a number of their flock getting stabbed it is we innocent Muslims that are frankly also the victims of 9/11 and are having to defend ourselves and our communities although sometimes as in this instance we do go to far.

LM is no scholar and I'm also certainly no scientist but when Newton's Third Law stated for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction as far as I'm concerned that law is not be confined to the Physics classroom only.

Should Muslims embrace Free Schools?

LM as my regular readers will know has a visceral hatred towards all Faith schools including Muslim ones which segregates kids and ultimately society on the basis of religion thus storing up enormous tensions based on our difference rather than our similarity.

However, my thoughts on the recent introduction of Free Schools and growing conversion of existing Schools towards Academy status finds me increasingly adopting a curiously semi detached yet broadly supportive and sympathetic approach in contrast to my original view when the policy was first mooted.

As Jewish Free Schools open in London, Sikh Free schools in Birmingham and if you are interested in Yoga Hindu Free Schools In Leicester the Muslim Community who outnumber all combined Faiths just mentioned have as usual yet to significantly enter the debate let alone fully embrace Free Schools.

My softening towards Free Schools primarily revolves around the admissions criteria which states 50% of pupils must be admitted "without reference to faith" and a more innovative approach to the straitjacket of our current curriculum. Why should a Muslim oppose an all ability state funded school which could be set up in response to the needs of locals fed up with appalling educational attainment of Muslim Kids as I've previously highlighted.

As a result LM believes the Sajid Hussain approach, an Oxford educated son of a Kashmiri bus driver who is set to establish the King Science Academy in Bradistan may be the Muslim educational model to follow. Muslims live in predominately socially deprived neighbourhoods and therefore not surprisingly have one of the worst educational attainment figures compared to almost any other community because in part we cannot compete with the Pushy Parent Brigade or afford their Catchment Area Games.

Why in this day and age of the Big Society cannot we as a community enter the educational jungle by setting up outstanding Schools for all whatever the background rather than being an afterthought for a bureaucrat at the Town Hall who sorts out faith admission requirements of Christians first then other faiths and secularists. What we need is a level playing field and although not perfect, Free Schools are a significant improvement on Faith Schools which is why they have my reluctant support and should also be supported by Muslims. interested in improving not just the educational of our kids but others like white working class boys.

Muslim parents charged with murder of daughter Shafilea Ahmed

The Muslim parents of Shafilea Ahmed have been charged with the shocking dishonour killing of their daughter.

Shafilea was killed over 8 years ago in 2003 so not sure what took the prosecuting authorities so long however it should be mentioned that her Parents have denied the charges.

While congratulating Khan and his family who performed Umrah which for those not aware is not compulsory like the Hajj but nevertheless highly recommended I do fear for his treatment when he next visits America.

Muslims began Eid on the wrong day?

It may sound like a joke worthy of a Carry on Film however, for Muslims around the world the news that a Saudi comedian may have mistaken Saturn for the Moon and as a result declared Eid a day early is no laughing matter.

LM had already begun to highlight what I term the Annual mayhem over deciding when Eid is however, given the uncertainty raised by individuals like the President of the Jeddah Astronomical Society who said the alleged sighting of the new moon was "impossible" then frankly we need to carefully evaluate an assess the credibility of those Saudi's we have been relying on.

When astronomers are threatened with lawsuits by Scholars reported in the House of Saud mouthpiece then something is not right. As far as LM is concerned when Sheikh Bin Baz says "there are no grounds for Muslims in the UK to follow Saudi Arabia" then perhaps given the evident difficulty some Saudi's have deciphering different planets perhaps for next year we need to bookmark this website.

For what it's worth and in view of the confusion, LM will fast for a further day and now perhaps wishes I listened to Sheikh Suliman Gani of Tooting Mosque along with Indonesian Sheikhs who were telling all that Eid was on Wednesday not Tuesday.

John Cleese attacks London as being "no longer English"

According to American based Lib Dem supporter John Cleese, London "is no longer English"

LM believes this is the sort of casual racist view that is increasingly typical of how old English White males aka grumpy old men view society and the world in general although to be fair its not a majority view.

Cleese, who is famed for his Fawlty Towers show which had a nasty attack on Germans - racism dressed up as entertainment, was really implying London is no longer White and that troubles him which perhaps explains Govt attempts to move Muslims out of London

I've written about English racists here and here and continue to repeat the point that a fundamental weakness is their inability to acknowledge they share the world with equals not inferiors. As England is no longer the center of an Empire or rules the waves the immediate reaction should be to acknowledge and adjust to ones overall decline by recognising the new economic and political capitals of the world will be in Beijing, Jakata, Istanbul, Delhi etc. India is the size of Europe so you can just imagine the pain, hurt and emotional trauma the likes of John Cleese will be undergoing when the colonies begin to overtake their old colonial masters.

Turkey will expel the Israeli Ambassador following a UN report into the murder of Gaza flotilla activists by Israelite pirates in international waters.

The EDL in Tower Hamlets

The EDL are planning another suicide mission this time on Saturday in Tower Hamlets despite the Home Secretary Theresa May banning the march.

The latest piece of inconsistency surrounds an interesting story indirectly concerning Tamsin which was not widely publicised and appears to have been regularly updated and amended to avoid her appearing as the true hypocrite LM fears she is.

During Ramadan on ITV's Daybreak the presenter Adrian Chiles was criticised for offering Pork sausages to Muslim actor Dhafer L' Abidene who naturally refused to eat or drink as he was fasting and would never eat Pork. However, take a look at the picture (second left) and guess who was having a nibble during Ramadan despite her claim she only eats Vegetarian sausages. I'll leave you to decide and judge who the real "Muslim extremist" is.

The role of liberty or perhaps more accurately its absence from large parts of the Muslim World is often a subject that sadly gets neglected in the Shisha bars down Edgware Road.

Without wishing to delve into a great philosophical definitional abyss which I'm happy to leave for Ologists LM often finds that a perfectly understandable focus on the Ummah occasionally deflects our narrative from the Individual and his or her responsibility as well as personal liberty.

While there are different definitions of Libertarianism along with different schools of thought surely all can agree that its core value is a minimal state while maximising individual liberty and freedom.

LM often recalls my father scoffing about Catholic priests in a confessional box absolving a miscreant Kid from personal responsibility on the basis of saying a few hail Mary's yet somehow the introduction of Televangelists amongst the Muslim community hiding behind the concept of dawah appears to introduce a similar Christian hierarchy that Islam prohibits. When I offer my prayers the relationship with Allah (swt) is direct and not via a Sheikh on the Islam Channel. As a result I adopt an individual responsibility throughout the week yet reserve the congregational aspect of my faith for Friday prayers.

An interesting Muslim example about the individual and ones liberty concerns the annual mayhem about when Eid is. Should Muslims in the UK for example be lectured and ordered around by a Saudi or Pakistani with binoculars or should we individually assume responsibility and make that judgement for ourselves with a Computer.

Most Muslims follow different schools of thought from Hanafis and Shafis so as a result we are grouped and defined which perhaps forms a basis and emphasis for collectivism over individualism.

The Arab Spring which is about liberty and freedom is a perfect example of libertarianism where Muslims albeit collectively are rejecting the despotic State of Mubarak's Egypt, Assad's Syria and Gaddafi's Libya etc through literally fighting for a redistribution of power towards the masses as free Muslim individuals who have certain inalienable natural rights that do not derive from dictators but from Allah (swt).

Although my focus tends to be moral than political, LM nevertheless believes one of the greatest Libertarians currently is US Presidential candidate Ron Paul who unlike sadly Obama would as President return to the principles of the Founding Fathers when drafting the US constitution of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
