The UK Parliament has rejected requests to serve Halal Meat in its restaurants although a note of caution should be observed about the report in the Daily Mail.
How typical of the hypocrites in Parliament to reject a perfectly legitimate request for those on religious grounds to be served food that's meet our religious requirements. The hypocrisy is evident because why stop at halal food if you feel it is harmful why not tackle the issue of Fish which by the same animal welfare lobby narrative is also inhumane. As LM has previously highlighted the reason Fish is not mentioned or banned is because Angling is what the English love doing despite the evidence of pain the Fish suffer.

This is a democracy, and politicians act on the majority opinion to stay elected.
ReplyDeleteThe majority of British people don't accept the cruel treatment of animals. They therefore want it to be illegal for animals to be treated cruelly. The politicians respond to this, and the majority get their way.
The animal wellfare lobby may want the cruel treatment of fish to stop also, however the majority of British people don't really care about fish. Therefore the politicians have no reason to do anything about it. They aren't being hypocritical, they are responding to majority opinion.
And comparing people defending animal rights to Hitler definitely doesn't make you look like an extremist..
A country is ruled by it's own laws, as dictated by it's established legal traditions, subject to change by democratically elected leaders. This law applies to everyone, and a groups personal beliefs have no effect, outside motivating peoples' voting. Feel free to attempt to campaign for your beliefs to dictate law, or go somewhere that they already do.
You love to eat halal so much then why dont you live in a country that services to your needs and stop trying to FORCE your beliefs onto others !
