UAE's Widad Lootah Urges Muslim Women to Enjoy Sex

Widad Lootah a marriage counsellor or "love guru" from the UAE has urged Muslim married women to enjoy sex by "embracing love and love making" in some fairly explicit X rated views.

LM has no intention of turning this article into a Muslim sex guide however, what often bemuses me about occasions when Muslim sexperts provide us with their wisdom is why they always focus on woman as if that is where the problem lies assuming of course one accepts there is a problem.

When Lootah, who you can see in this interview talks about women needing to enjoy sex and have fun rather than only thinking of it in terms of conceiving children what about men. Surely the issue of enjoyment of sex within marriage requires both partners to be honest and open with each other about their feelings and requirements.

There is a growing tendency like with the establishment of the Obedient Wife's Club to appear to focus only on women as the problem when it comes to sex rather than in my opinion both women and men.

  1. Muslim women often can't enjoy sex. If you've had all your genitals cut off, it must be just painful. I expect you can correct me, but haven't 95% of Egyptian, Somali and Sudanese women been mutilated, and only left with a tiny hole for peeing.

That's why englands obstectric departments are full of these woman, who often can't even give birth properly. So not much point sewing them up tight if the men want to have loads of babies on benefits.

  2. Yes but that's not all Muslim women is it? Bit of broad term all Muslim women do not hail from those three countries? You've mentioned three African countries and failed to omit the sad fact that many Christian African women undergo the same ordeal.
Certainly for the majority of Muslim women from the UK the concept is alien and against Islam. As the majority of Muslim from the UK do not originally come from the countries cited.
Now what would that tell someone with intelligence? Yes that it has NOTHING to do with Islam and a cultural practice whereby Muslims, Christians and other non-faith tribal groups undergo what is felt as a right of passage for a woman. To make her strong and not show pain - not my words but words used by a friend who has been through the practice.
Why try and comment when it's clear you're completely ignorant of the facts? Funny the field I work in lots of white men seem to be content in having lots of babies they can't look after (so my tax monies have to pay to take those children into care until they're adults) and living off benefits. But I wouldn't stereotype all white people as I have the intelligence to realise it's not all white people who are Christian's who do this.

  3. Ah my daughter works in social services, it's her job to watch for muslim girls, and others, being shipped back "home" to marry older men in their home villages. She says it's as soon as they can get pregnant off they're sent.

Or back home to be mutilated, a practice frequently carried out here as well.

She can't believe the cruelty inflicted on some of these little girls.

  4. ALl my utmost respect for Widad Lootah, I am glad to know in Egypt it is now illegal to cut the genitals of girls.

Unfortunately the Arabian Gulf countries is changing and the gays and lesbians is a new trend against all religions and humanity and change of God's creation is increasing, and hope that Muslims especially the Arabs to be more sophisticated in their lives especially when it comes to social life and marriage.

This is why alot of changes is essential starting from schools, because most boys are exposed to such things especially that they cannot think like adults, they are our boys sons & nephews in those schools, if something wrong happens to them at a vulnerable moment in their childhood it destroys them forever.

I hope Widad Works even harder, cause seems the rulers are not up to their responsibilities and duties
