LM is off to Umrah in March so I am concentrating and preparing for the journey and pilgrimage.
I'll be a little light on articles as I intend to visit both Mecca and Medina and stay for a couple of weeks. Although there is Internet access at the hotels i'm staying in LM is not sure how reliable or at what cost so I'll try to post a few articles during my stay but dont bet on it. This is my first Umrah so I will need advice prior to departure on a host of issues which I will seek via a number of later updates to this Post.

Have a good one, LM. (Try not to dwell on how your journey will be swelling the already bursting Saudi coffers. The religious tourism industry is BIG business now (http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2010/nov/14/mecca-hajj-saudi-arabia) and they're raking it in hand over fist. Don't you think God would be better pleased with you if you gave the money you're about to give to the appalling Saudi regime to some more deserving causes? Do you really think Mohammed/God envisaged the money machine it's all turned into when he made it one of the pillars?)Sorry - can't help being an old cynic, I'm afraid...

I notice you haven't reported it here, I suppose you approve of men raping children. I understand there's another 36 men that could be charged as well. But I expect in your view it's the childrens fault, they made the men do it. Muslims always innocent 'eh?!

I'm sure that Umrah Package 2012 is concerned about your spiritual welfare, LM, but just a little more concerned perhaps with his bank balance - since if one clicks (as presumably he hopes all the readers of LM will) on his name, one is directed to a travel company in Preston: "The One and Only British Haj Travel Limited" And what have TOAOBHT Ltd. chosen to illustrate the Haj on their site? None other than a picture of that obscene monstrosity and testament to Saudi poor taste, the Raffles Makkah Palace Hotel with its proud boast that it is "suite only" hotel - in other words, "f*ck off if you're a POOR pilgrim."
