Saudi Princess Maha al-Sudairi Tries To Escape £5m Paris Hotel Bill

Saudi Princess Maha al Sudairi in what has to be a classic or even epic scam attempted to avoid paying a £5m bill to a luxury Paris Hotel when she trooped out in the middle of the night with her entourage of 60 servants.

Princess Maha is not surprisingly the ex wife of Crown Prince Nayef who despite divorcing her is still suffering from her expensive legacy as he recovers from medical tests. You really have to hand it to Sister Maha when she manages to be high maintenance for a Saudi Deputy Prime Minister and next in line for the thrown.

Sister Maha also has a very decent pedigree and when on good form she previously escaped paying a £15m shopping bill again in Paris. The picture above is her in an American court where she was accused of beating up another one of her long suffering servants. Clearly an interesting character with a few issues aka as a sandwich short of a halal picnic.

  2. And talking of women who have bought Islam into disrepute recently, I notice that LM has been very quiet on the Warsi debacle(s).
What is the point of posting videos of footballers refusing the man-of-the-match champagne etc. whilst neglecting such a newsworthy story?
At least LM hasn't done an Yvonne Ridley and claimed that the media are out to get Warsi because she's a Muslim woman. (No, Yvonne - it's because she's been caught with her hand in the till and she's Chair of the conservatives and a Peer. That's why.)

  4. @anonyscum above,

Not that I have sympathy for Saudi royal family clown but a better idea would be to cut your white balls off and fedex them to your mother.

  7. If this is a known problem payer, why didn't the hotel require credit guarantee from a third party or a cash deposit? Essentially, doesn't the hotel have itself to blame for making this possible?

  8. To Anonymous above: Absolutely the hotel is to blame. If it were not for its shoddy policy of trusting a person to pay their debts, this wouldn't have happened. Not only was the princess a helpless victim, I believe she could and should sue the hotel for the pain they've caused her...

  14. I am convinced that most people who will be reading this are well educated people. Unfortunately no matter educated one can be, we as human beings often like to believe what we want to hear.
I am just going to lay down some facts for you:
    1. As the wife ( not ex), now widow of the the crown prince and previously minister of interior of saudi arabia, you must imagine the amount of personnel, security guards and entourage that accompanied her at all times, not forgetting the amount of luggages. How would physically leave the hotel without anyone noticing?

    2. She check-out of the hotel, in order to check in another IN PARIS that was more convenient; therefore did not try to flee.

    3. If you do BASIC research you would realize that a) the women in the picture is Princess Buniah al-Saud, part of scandal over 10 years ago in DC. b) if you check the french articles you would see at the end that there is a statement from the hotel manager affirming that he has no issues with his client.
